Extended Travels
Acrylic and acrylic ink on raw cotton, 2023. Each ca. 210 x 250 x 30 cm + fixture.
Each piece consists of five fabric sheets that are draped over a horizontal cherry wood bar.
I made these three pieces for Big Art 2023, a pop-up platform for XL artworks and huge design objects. It took place in October 2023 at the Bajeskwartier in Amsterdam. Almost 6000 visitors came to see the show.

Do you have a new title for the work? - “Trimono. Kunstjas. Tevrede. Alles. De Loop”.
Where do you feel the work in your body? - “In mijn traanbuis”, “Hier bij mijn keel”, “Zo rond de hartstreek” en “Nee, net boven mijn hoofd”.
Do you recognise elements in the work? - “Die schelp lijkt op het zoutvaatje bij mijn oma”, “Ja, dat pad loop ik ook wel eens”, “Ik zou die linker plant daar willen zijn” en “Die rechter jas zou ik zo aan willen schieten”.
