Sometimes you just happen to be at the right place at the right time. Or you meet someone for the first time and it feels like you’ve known that person for a long time. I had both with Anita. We followed each other on Instagram and a few weeks ago I dropped her a line because I was curious about her gallery space / meeting room in Amsterdam Jordaan. Anita invited me for coffee and we had a super nice talk, sitting on a huge table in her amazing place called Atelier Oosterbosch. It turned out that Anita was actually putting together a new group show in November and that she was open to new artists to participate. “There is still empty wall space” as she put it casually. Wow. I never imagined that it would be that easy and pleasant to become part of an exhibition! The next week Anita and I met in my studio and selected the work, and another week later it is there already, filling that empty wall space. There will be an opening reception on 5 November. Come and have a look!
